sinusitis
Sinusitis is the inflammation of
the nasal sinuses. The nasal sinuses are four sets of open spaces
within the bones of the skull that are part of the "plumbing" system of the
head. Each individual tends to have problems with a particular set of
sinuses. When the mucous increases in the sinuses pressure increases
and causes pain. When sinuses are clogged for a long time they can get
infected.
This website focuses on how to reduce the
symptoms of disease, in this case sinusitis, through diet. The
symptoms of sinusitis are made worse by, and sometimes caused by,
food allergies. Food allergies can cause inflammation in the body, and
in this case in the
nasal sinuses.
Foods that aggravate symptoms of sinusitis
include wheat, corn, milk, refined white sugar, coffee, peanuts, oranges,
and strawberries. For information on some of these
common food allergies click here.
